| The Services provided
Trimarine’s typical involvement in a boatbuilding
project starts with the role of assistance to the Designer, the
structural engineers and/or Yard during the preliminary design
phase contributing valuable information and assisting in the examination
and choice of process technology, equipment and construction materials,
elaborating cost and time budgets and in the definition of the
building environment and in the eventual organisation of the shop
floor area and tooling required for the project.
Trimarine can provide a valid contribution in part or as a whole to the following
activities:
• Process Engineering
• Construction & Project Management
• Owners representative
These activities may comprise:
• Preparation and real-time updating of the construction plan
• Preparation of the project status reports
• Monitoring of supplier’s delivery schedules
• Monitoring subcontractor job completion
• Preparation of Work Process Procedures in order to achieve the required
standard of workmanship - particularly important if more than one unit is to
be fabricated.
• Assistance to Production - direct instruction of work force, choice of
team elements, subdivision of tasks and responsibilities.
• The creation and implementation of a Quality Control Plan. Monitoring
its observance by the production personnel.
• Structural design
• Technical management of the production personnel.
• Logging and analysis of work time - fundamental for cost control and
subsequent workload optimization if series production is envisaged.
• Inspection and control of inwards construction materials.
• Organisation and management of collaboration between shop floor personnel
and sub-contractors. Particularly important in large projects
• Technical assistance during inspection by surveyors and representatives
of the classification organisations that may be in charge of construction follow
up.
• Preparation of structural samples and/or extraction of test coupons for
laboratory verification (generally required for structural engineering validation
and by classification Societies).
• Preparation of Users Manuals
• Updating of construction drawings “as built”.
• Preparation of Final Construction Report
The above list is intended to demonstrate in a simplified way a possible model
of collaboration between Trimarine and a potential client.
Trimarine can undertake the complete construction of yacht structures of any
size on it's own or in collaboration with selected boat building facilities around
the World.
Any such collaboration would be based on the project’s specific requirements
and the satisfaction of the needs identified with the Client.
