| “Maxi Dolphin 65’ by Luca Brenta” -
65’ Fast Cruising Sloop
2000
has seen the launch of the first Yacht of a series of fast cruisers
by the Maxi Dolphin Yard in Erbusco (BS),
Italy. Built in Advanced
composites with shell skins in epoxy pre-impregnated carbon/glass/aramid
fibres over a CoreCell core. Working in tight collaboration with
the designer Luca Brenta and the yard, Trimarine has developed,
for the production of this light displacement hull an innovative
construction technique based on a male mould plug.
Apart from it’s involvement in the definition and development
of the construction process, Trimarine was
responsible for the overall quality of the project and in particular, working in tight
contact with the yard’s technical office, the construction
follow-up and the fit out of the prototype collaborating in the
choice of accessory elements and systems with the scope of containing
the weights and also in avoiding any alteration to the aesthetic
choices of the design team.
After completion of the first prototype, we have been involved
in the analysis of the construction data and in the subsequent
optimisation for the series production.
