| “Stellafilante” - Brenta 44’ Daysailer
Sloop
Designed
with short handed sailing in mind this is the
fun boat the owner wanted for daysailing. Fast and maneuverable, “Stellafilante” (Shooting
Star) can leave the mooring and be sailing within 5 minutes.
Built at Cantiere Galetti of Peschiera del
Garda on a laminated
wooden plug, the construction is a vacuum
consolidated carbon fibre/epoxy foam sandwich structure.
The NC machined very thin steel blade
fin keel and lead bulb, the whole fixed to a complex carbon structure
and the hydraulic system capable of handling all sailing maneuvres
are some of the very sofisticated technical
solutions incorporated
into this fascinating yacht.
Beautiful to look at with a very low freeboard, teak decks and
aft open cockpit for maximum ease of access when moored, “Stellafilante” is
also very fast under sail, even in light winds, mainly due to it’s
very long and narrow waterline and a powerful main with an impressive,
America’s Cup style roach.
Working with Designer, Owner and Yard, Trimarine’s
technical coordination roll developed from an early stage of the project
before the builder had been chosen and finished with the registration
documents.
Final judgement: “Rarely have we done sailing tests with
such a pleasant and exciting yacht!”
